HTAM Social Services Unit
In line with the Harvettime’s Vision Statement…Upreach, Inreach and Outreach, it was recognized by Bishop Joel D. Trout that there was a need to Reach Out Further to the community. This gave birth to the Harvesttime Apostolic Ministries Social Services Unit (SSU). Our goal became “Embracing the Community” and lending a helping hand”. The SSU made its debut on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. It was created as a support to the Riverdale and surrounding communities due to the socio-economic crisis. The SSU provides food, clothing and shoes of all sizes for men, women, children, (boys and girls) and infants. We have resources information (utility bills, emergency shelter, and transportation) to those who are finding it increasingly difficult to sustain their lifestyle during the rise of joblessness, housing increases and skyrocketing food cost. As with any volunteer program, we are always in need of more. We will kindly accept your monetary donations or goods, small appliances, clean clothing, shoes workable toys and useable small furniture. Aside from meeting these needs, the SSU also provides the opportunity for spiritual healing and growth prayer, counseling and attendance of our church services. All intake forms are screened for prayer requests that may be done on the spot, if desired. Hours of Operation: Sunday 2pm- 3:30pm Wednesday 9pm – 10pm immediately after Bible Study and Thursday and Friday 12pm to 4pm. Telephone contact: 770-997-1041. Evangelist Anita McDonald serves as the Auxiliary Leader.
